About me

I’m an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Nottingham and Director of The Aristotelian Society (the oldest and largest philosophical society in the United Kingdom).

I write about the role of truth in politics, the epistemic dysfunctions of democracy, and the value of knowledge. I’ve edited the first book on Political Epistemology as well as The Routledge Handbook of Political Epistemology, and I’ve co-written (with my hugely impressive girlfriend, Elise Woodard) a new book titled Political Epistemology: An Introduction. So, yeah, I’m really into topics at the intersection of politics and epistemology.
